I really wanted to enjoy this movie, but honestly, it was just bad. Not even the kind of bad that’s entertaining or something you can laugh at. It was simply boring, poorly executed, and a struggle to sit through.
For a movie based on a franchise like Street Fighter, you’d expect some excitement, memorable moments, and at least a little bit of the energy that made the games so popular. Unfortunately, this movie fails to deliver any of that.
The pacing feels off, the story does very little to keep you interested, and nothing really stands out as memorable. Even when the movie tries to be exciting, it just falls flat. I kept waiting for something to happen that would make it worth watching, but that moment never came.
What’s frustrating is how much potential a Street Fighter movie has. There’s an entire universe of interesting characters and stories to work with, yet somehow the end result feels completely uninspired.
Overall: 2/10
Not entertaining, not memorable, and definitely not something I’d watch again. Being a fan of Street Fighter doesn’t make this any easier to recommend. If anything, it makes the disappointment even worse.
